The client is a digital pharmacy that offers insurance companies easy, affordable, and understandable pharmaceutical options to their members. A current client within the healthcare space referred Ascendum to the company. The client wanted to increase user engagement and satisfaction through clear, intuitive UX/UI.We began by learning about the business needs and goals. From there, we researched the industry itself and discussed how to create empathetic, engaging UX/UI. Led by our Head of Design, we focused on the problems that users faced and developed a plan to fix them. As part of the development plan, the team took a holistic look into the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
The primary challenge was testing in an environment that was regulated by HIPPA. As the team designed and developed, they faced creative challenges when it came to seeing their work in real-time. They needed to ensure that content data and functionality was up-to-date and accurate before building on top of it.The team created test accounts and relied heavily on digital project managers to ensure accuracy. The success of the project was due primarily to their ability to be hyper-collaborative, not only with the digital leadership, but also with the dev and QA teams.
Ascendum ensured consistency and high-quality UI/UX throughout the website and mobile apps. We enhanced features across multiple platforms to make the application much more cohesive and user friendly. Their goal wasn’t to make a gorgeous site, but to present necessary information in a way that is intuitive for users. And yet, the design and functionalities we created for them is extremely beautiful, both in appearance and in its simplicity.
