The brief.
Inside the classroom
An interactive platform for teachers where they can easily share lesson plans, resources, open book chapters, and various other learning materials. This platform should include a diverse selection of learning content such as activities, interactive media, worksheets, handouts, and educational games - all designed to create an engaging and dynamic learning environment in the classroom.
Outside the classroom
A robust desktop application to support class planning and content management.This tool should enable teachers to view and grade student assignments, manage student information, and communicate with both students and parents.
Companion App
Additionally, the client requested the design of a "companion app" for teachers. This app would allow teachers to effortlessly take the student's roll call, add notes, message students, access the grade book, manage their agenda and lessons on the go.
Our approach.
Our main goal is to empower teachers with the tools they need to create a cohesive and interactive educational experience, both in and out of the classroom.
Our team assembled in India to meet with the client and gather the project's requirements, needs, and goals. Through collaborative brainstorming, all members contributed with ideas and insights.
We explored several concepts and chose the "Whiteboard" concept as the core of our product design. We worked on sketches and wireframes to illustrate ideas and interactions, collaborating closely with the main stakeholders. During the Visual Design phase, we carefully selected colors, styles, and visuals to enhance the user experience and interface.We compiled all the completed work into multiple prototypes. Each flow was meticulously designed and prototyped, providing clear expectations for both the client and developers.
Thank you for the fantastic job of capturing and implementing all our feedback in such a short time! Needless to say, the team here was considerably shaken (in a good way) by the direction we have embarked on.
The outcome.
A platform that provides an enriched classroom experience for teachers, with two different modes. In classroom mode allows teachers to seamlessly display their teaching material by selecting from a convenient playlist located at the bottom of the interface, and use an integrated whiteboard. It enables teachers to present lessons interactively in an engaging way. Outside of classroom mode allows them to prepare lessons, modifying subjects, chapters, topics and resources, as well as evaluate student’s. For future purposes, we also imagined a companion app designed to support the main platform. This supplementary app would ensure that educators stay informed at all times.
