Recognizing the growing need for mobility and seamless access, they set out to develop a cutting-edge mobile app that could effortlessly sync with AccountEdge on desktop devices via WiFi.This initiative aimed to empower users to manage their finances on the go, ensuring continuous productivity and real-time updates, no matter where they are.

We took an user-centric approach for this mobile solution. Focusing on ease of use and removing distractions to keep the user focused on their tasks.

AccountEdge Cloud

The objective is to extend some AccountEdge Desktop functionality into a browser-based environment for remote users or employees who would not want an entire accounting application (i.e. AED) installed on their computer.

Complimentary Mobile App

The objective is not to develop an app that is a replacement for AED - instead a compliment. A hub (AED) and spoke (AEC) relationship.

Modular Development

AEC will be a tabular app where each module can be added to an existing app framework. This allows us to be extensible and future-proof for many years to come. With a strong roadmap and well aligned business goals, the future is strong for AcountEdge.

We developed a versatile "Universal" app that functions seamlessly on both iPhone and iPad, offering tailored user interfaces optimized for each device. To ensure cross-platform compatibility, we integrated web syncing capabilities via Dropbox, allowing users to sync data effortlessly between Mac and Windows systems. This solution not only enhanced flexibility but also provided a smooth, consistent experience across multiple devices and operating systems.
